DIY: Photo Wall Art

Happy Happy Friday!

Today I thought I’d show you some simple wall art I did for our little guy's room using photos, canvases, washers and screws.

I had photos of him playing football and baseball, in addition to him holding his home run ball, enlarged to poster size – 16x20 and 11x14. These match the sizes of the canvases.  As you can see, I opted to do them in black and white.

First, lay the picture on the canvas and mark where the center of the washer will be.  To avoid the screw from tearing the picture, use a hole punch to create a hole first, then mark the center and drill holes for your screws.

Attach the washer and screw.  I did not adhere my picture to the canvas first in case I want to frame it at a later date.  If you do this, it will have a slight “loose” look to it, but I kind of like it that way.

I wanted to do something different than framing them for now, so I thought this would be a fun little industrial-like way to display the pictures.

Now I need to get them on his wall.  I will reveal his room to you in the near future and show you where they are hanging.

Oh, and I decided I might do something different to the 11x14 picture of him holding his home run ball.  So that is "to be continued."

Baseball tryouts ended last weekend and he made the team.  He is excited to get this new season started.  We are too.  We love watching him play.  It is such a fun age.

Be inspired,
