Happy Monday,
It is time for another furniture debut!
The prairie, in all its expressions, is a massive, subtle place, with a long history of contradiction and misunderstanding. But it is worth the effort at comprehension. It is, after all, at the center of our national identity. - Wayne Fields
There is no describing the prairies…they inspire feelings too unique, so distinct from anything else, so powerful, yet vague and indefinite, as to defy description, while they invite the attempt. - John C. Van Tramp
Do you recognize these knobs? Yep – Anthropologie. I love their hardware. These remind me of the little pops of color you see looking out onto the prairie fields. Tiny blooms and wild grasses mixed throughout.
I chose to give it an eclectic feel by mixing the knobs up. New knobs from Anthropologie combined with these two styles – both vintage. A teardrop and backplate pictured above, paired with the ring pull pictured below.
Then I discovered the prairie, and a slow healing began.
- Stephen R. Jones
…the joy of prairie lies in its subtlety. It is so easy—too easy—to be swept away by mountain and ocean vistas. A prairie, on the other hand, requests the favor of your closer attention. It does not divulge itself to mere passersby. - Suzanne Winckler

Turning lifetime passion into livelihood. It's about time! I'm Shari. I am a 40-something wife, mother, corporate professional turned design stylist, avid sports fan, and usually exhausted 24/7 keeping up with it all. I love my family, my home, my work...and the chaos that comes with it. I also happen to adore my beagle, Scout.

oh wow that is SO pretty! i love the hardware and the woodgrain showing through!

Yup, the strip of wood through the drawers is awesome looking. Gotta love the key holes too.
~Bliss~
That dresser is beautiful, and I love the color(s) you used. Thanks for the inspiration!!
What a gorgeous outcome!! The colors are so, so pretty together. I'm in the middle of painting a desk right now. I'm a ASCP virgin and have to get used to the idea of finishes not being perfect. I deal w/factory finishes since I'm in the furniture biz. Nite and day difference! LOL. Hope my project turns out to my satisfaction. Baby steps, I guess….
~Sue
Gorgeous! I love it all. The colors, top, striping on the drawer fronts, and the knobs really give it that special punch. Your photography and staging presents it perfectly also. Great job.

Oh wow, this one definitely rivals Meriwether for my all time favorite furniture re-do ever. Beautiful!
Meriwether, by the way, is what convinced my Mom to let me do her dresser-turned-media console in painted frame and natural drawer fronts. Clearly I have been a longtime lurker before becoming an official follower!
I love cottage style dressers and this one looks so fabulous in that pretty paint combination and gorgeous hardware! You know I could pretty much feature you every single week!
