Hey everyone,
Remember this chair, Adel? Do you remember what it started out as?
Oh so ugly.![]()

While they may not be masterpieces, they are certainly an upgrade from the ugly lion!

I want to send a big thanks to Kammy for featuring my little table, Birch! My Crown Royal bottle makeover was also featured yesterday at Craftgossip.com, so thank you to them as well!
Finally, I had two no-reply bloggers yesterday ask me where I purchased the shadow boxes for my parent’s class ring displays. Since I can’t respond to their emails, I hope they will read today’s post to find out that I purchased them from Ben Franklin crafts!
Be inspired,

Turning lifetime passion into livelihood. It's about time! I'm Shari. I am a 40-something wife, mother, corporate professional turned design stylist, avid sports fan, and usually exhausted 24/7 keeping up with it all. I love my family, my home, my work...and the chaos that comes with it. I also happen to adore my beagle, Scout.

seriously- the twine on the base is genius! genius!
Definitely an upgrade. I love them both and agree that the twine is a great addition.
Tami @ Curb Alert!
Shari it would be hard for me to pick which version I loved more! Great idea to fill it the motif (he was scary looking!) with the wood filler. I also agree with the above commenters, the twine on the bottom looks fabulous, like the icing on a cake!
AGAIN i love the details, my architectural appreciative friend. the twine wrapped around the front bars is PERFECTION!!
What a beautiful chair. I love it both ways but this is a fabulous change.
XOXO
Kristin
Nice restyle! I love the jute too!
Loving the jute on the base!!! You're so smart and crafty!!!
Love the way you embellished both chairs…they are so "fun"…I like the jute treatment on the blue chair too!
Great creations as always!
That chair has lived so many lives! That is a really interesting use of jute on the most recent version, so creative.
I'm loving the burlap & the jute compliments it perfectly . My hubby is obsessing over burlap right now. Nice Job! Dee from My Painted Stuff.
Gorgeous! I just love the jute accent. Just beautiful.
It came out great! I especially love the detail you have the legs with the wrapped twine. I'd love it if you linked it up to my link party today. Have a great day!
It looks awesome!! I love the twine wrapped detail – really cool.
Love the wrapped twine legs! the color is perfect too! Great job, looks super!

Love that twine, what a great idea!
I love it! At first I was sad to see the carving go, but upon seeing the whole chair all done, it looks much better without it!

How cute!! I love the twine wrapped legs. I have some ugly chairs that this might work on.:) I would love it if you would be willing to share at our party going on now-Monday. Thanks

Love the twine! Great little touch.
Visiting from Primitive & Proper – LOVE the twine on the chair!
Shari,
I love this idea so much I had to pin it! I am twine wrapping all the chairs in my house (and maybe a table or too)!
Thanks for the inspiration.
blessings,
karianne
Beautiful job! I love the twine wrapped on the cross bars.
Thanks for sharing at Simply Klassic!
Hmmm. Looks more like a demon than a lion to me. Love the twine trim though, works SO well with the colour you chose to paint it.
The addition of the twine is just so clever! Nicely done, as always!
They look fantastic, but the twine is the kicker! I would have never thought of it, but it looks so fantabulous!
shari–that lion was scary!!! great job getting rid of him.
Both chairs look great. I love the addition of the twine. I of course am partial to the blue one.

Love what you did!
Hi! really pretty chairs both ways. My fave is the yellow / blue material but that twine idea is awesome! found you thru So. Inst. hop

I so love this project. Such clever uses of materials! I recently used twine to wrap a wicker chair where the wicker had worn off. Thank you so much for sharing, featuring at my party, opens today at 2:00 PST. Thanks!
I love how you transformed the chair.
