Yes, we are still about a week away from Halloween, but we all know that the mind wanders, ponders and races when you are sick and parked on the couch.
Being down for a few days made my mind race right through to our Christmas tree.
For the most part, I tend to do a lot of the same things with our tree each year.
It is time to switch things up a little.
Which means to ponder a palette.
Here are some options that came to mind:
I purposely left the traditional red/green combo off the list since my decorating has generally stuck with those colors in the past.
Right now, I’m leaning towards one of the above options.
How about you? Have you thought about Christmas decorating yet? Are you changing things up this year or are you a creature-of-habit?

Loving the red, burlap and charcoal combo. It is nice to see some different ideas for the holidays – tired of the same old green and red!
I don’t know if I will change it up too much, creature of habit, but then again I have learned so much from other bloggers this past year I might just decide my Christmas needs a total remodel.

Anything with burlap in it is my fave!!!
I use a lot of different color in my ornaments most of them are glass blown. I won’t change it up too much but I always add new ones every year.

Ooooh, the teal, copper and ivory sounds good. I like the red, burlap and charcoal too.
Same thing all the time. We use so many family ornaments from all the past years, so mine always looks to the same. Can;t wait to see what you do. Hugs. Marty
I have never been one to think about Christmas before Halloween is over, but this year, I am on Halloween overload and I am so OVER it! I am leaning toward the Red/Charcoal Bulap. I picked up some beautiful vintage green ribbon too. Looking forward to what others are doing soon!
You have some wonderful color palettes there! I really loved the red, burlap and charcoal. Oh my goodness—I might have to do my tree in those colors! We’ve had the same style—snooze—for years and years. My husband is going to be really mad at you that I want to change.
Hope you feel better, sweetiepie!
Oh I love those combinations…I have so many decorations and try to change things up a bit…I won a Christmas decorating contest last year and received $200 worth decorations…I chose lots of “birch bark” ribbon…so hopefully it will all come together….Starting my decorating next week! Hope you feel better!!!….
The teal, copper and ivory is very pretty. I love Christmas and all the variations of color. Hope you feel better soon.
I love the red, charcoal and burlap…..but then I’m a burlap girl
Can’t wait to see which one you choose!
Have a great day rock star!

Girl, you are just too organized! It’s not even Halloween yet! I’m more of a “fly by the seat of my pants” girl.
Love the one you chose best!
I try to use an untraditional color combo for one of my 7 trees. Last year it was purple and green. I need to give it some thought- guess I should get started- just like you. The red and charcoal combination is a rich traditional look and the teal, ivory, and copper is just gorgeous! Wow!
