DIY: Jumbo Wooden Dice

Are you ready to roll the dice on another DIY?

Wooden Dice (3)

The first thing you gotta do is grab some blocks from the craft store…

…or make your own of course!

Wood Blocks

These are 1.5” x 1.5” but the great thing about it is you can make them any size.   You can see how they size up with a regular die.

I stained them in two different stains – walnut and pecan.

Wooden Dice

Using my Dremel, I carved the spots, also known as pips in Britain Smile

{Consider that your useless trivia du jour.}

Note: I just winged it and eyed where I was going to carve the spots.  I thought any little miscue would validate the handmade “craftsmanship.”

Yes…I use that term very loosely!

Next step:  Paint those pips!

…and display.

I’d consider them a little fall-ish.

How about you? Would you use something like this as decor for your home?

I can’t leave without shouting out a BIG Happy Anniversary to my mom and dad.  57 years!!

Be inspired,
