DIY: Pear Place Card Setting

Happy Monday!

Our last days of October are upon us and then we will all be in full swing for the holidays.  Part of my Thanksgiving planning always includes my table.

Buffet or sit-down?

Organic or glitz?

Neutral or color?

While I’ve been running ideas through my head, I haven’t made any decisions yet.

However, for those of you who might be leaning towards an organic, sit-down dinner, here is an easy idea to let your guests know where they will be sitting – Pottery Barn style.

And nobody can deny that EASY is the way to go during the hustle and bustle that kicks in on November 1st.  Smile

I simply printed out the name on Kraft paper, being sure to center it, and then cut it into a strip.  You may want to use a paper cutter, or ruler to get a straight edge, but I like the “handmade” look of cutting it by hand.

The font I chose was Bella Donna, size 18.

Next step is to wrap it around and glue together.

Then snip the ends.

Add a little glitz to your organic with a glitter enhanced leaf.

You can either “glitterize” some fallen leaves from outside, or go with the faux effect.

Normally, I would go with the real thing, but…

it is raining…

and I don’t want to get wet right now  (I have a football game to go to later this evening that will take care of that.)

So the faux wins out!

If I must say so myself, these are some gorgeous silk fakes.

.99 at Michaels for a pack of 10.

Can’t beat that!
