October Tablescape: Autumn Orchard

Good morning!

It has been a few months since I did a tablescape.  I guess I’ve been focused on other things but it is time to get back in the groove.

As you may recall, our daughter’s wedding took place in our orchard during the month of September.

I love the setting our orchard provides this time of year so I decided to set up dinner for two.

I wish the mums were in full bloom, but it is what it is.

I found this hand-carved sign not too long ago.  Can you imagine the work that went into this?!

This antique furniture will be an upcoming project for me, but they were a perfect fit for the setting.

Like my cork ice cubes?

Maybe I’m on to something there, huh?

In September, at the time of the wedding, leaves were just starting to fall but the nuts were still a few weeks from their downward descent.  Now, in October, it is raining nuts.

Seriously.

We are going to have to wear hard hats to eat dinner.

And when you are outside, and everything is quiet, it is a very odd sound listening to the nuts drop all around us.  Especially when walking Scout at night and you can’t see them falling, but you can hear them in the darkness.

We are just a week or two away from round one of the harvest.

Well, better go get ready for dinner.  The pizza is going to be delivered any minute Winking smile

Be inspired,
