Don’t you just love this time of year?
These months of crisp mornings, warm afternoons, cool breezes, football, comfort food, pumpkins and outdoor activities?
John & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in August.
Which means 25 Octobers.
That is a lot of Octobers.
Octobers that include…
Pumpkins in all shapes, sizes and colors.
Raking all of those leaves into big piles and then diving in.
Putting out that autumn welcome mat for friends and family.
– Maybe to gather for an in-home tailgate party?
To stop and think about the harvests of past seasons?
Or to plan that wine tasting at your favorite vineyard that you’ve been wanting to do?
How about that leisurely trip to the farm stand for all of those seasonal pleasures?
And putting it all together to greet those who stop by?
Or on those days when nobody is around, taking some time to sit with your favorite sidekick and enjoy the amazing afternoons?
And the peaceful views?

I am cracking up at the last sentence. What does my porch say in October? My porch is saying it still thinks it is August. Just yesterday did it finally slip below 90 degrees. There is fog lining the hills around my home that finally made it in from the San Francisco Bay. Your porch looks like I want to come sit on that chair and drink warm apple cider and play with your adorable dog. I am inspired to add more to my porch besides the two token pumpkins!
