It is the last day of Thanksgiving weekend and I bet by the time the leftovers made their first appearance, many of you had already decked your halls with Christmas.
Me? Not even close.
I’m hoping to be able to get some decorating done this week if time allows – a head start before we get our tree next weekend.
Part of my decorating always includes the stockings that Grandma Grace made for all of us.
Stockings are so fun – both by design and purpose.
And they are even better if they are handmade.
For some Sunday fun, I wanted to share some DIY stockings with you from Martha Stewart. I’ve included a link to the directions as well
Pine Cone and Holly Stocking
I love the look of the felt embellishments, especially those cones. So fun!
Wool Woodlands Stocking
Anything woodland is at the top of my list. I might just have to give these a try and incorporate them into my decorating.
Here are the instructions for the Wool Woodlands stocking.
Baby Sock Stockings
How cute is this advent calendar made from baby socks?? Only Martha would have thought of this.
Here are the instructions for the Baby Sock stockings.
I think stockings made from sweaters are beautiful – and kids love them because they sttrrrrrretch as Santa fills them!
Here are the instructions for the Sweater stocking.
There is nothing prettier than an all white Christmas scape, and the simplicity of these are perfect.
Here are the instructions for the Handkerchief stocking.
There you go. You have a few hours left in the day to go get your supplies and make some stockings. While you are doing that, I’ll be cleaning up after Thanksgiving and feeling far, far behind.
See you tomorrow!
