DIY: A “Pear” of Turkeys. Or Three.

Yes.  Another pear DIY.

But if you are “peared” out…don’t get your knickers in a twist.  This is the last one of the season!

Are you looking for something fun that the kiddos (big and small) can do to keep them occupied while the master chefs are in the kitchen creating the Thanksgiving feast?

Why not put them to work with some décor for their table?

DIY Turkey Pears Tag

A while back I was inspired by this little turkey that I pinned from Crafts Unleashed and thought it would be fun to give it a whirl.  A fast whirl as it doesn’t take more than 15 minutes!

Gather some leaves from outside, or use these awesome silk alternatives, along with a couple of pieces of scrap paper – and glue.

You need to cut out a small beak and gobbler.  I used my decorative edging scissors to give the gobbler its instant shape.

I just drew the eyes on with a black pen and glued everything else, including the leaves.

Does this look familiar?  You got a peek of him the other day.

For a fun twist, add a little monogrammed leaf to the top to show the kids where they will be sitting.

Does this remind you of my DIY place card setting I showed you a few days ago?

Don’t worry, I’ve now used all of my pears Winking smile

But you have to admit…she is kind of cute!

I think the kids will have a good time creating something special to contribute to the festivities, don’t you?
