It is crunch time with your Thanksgiving menu planning and shopping. Are you ready?
Do you like to offer a signature drink with your meal or is it a free-for-all?
Or, how about brunch and a cocktail?
I have two drinks for you today – a traditional cocktail and custom mocktail.
The Traditional Cocktail: Bloody Mary
Many people don’t like Bloody Mary’s. Some, because they just don’t. Some, because they don’t like the idea – or sound – of it.
I rarely drink alcohol, but a Bloody Mary is one of the few drinks I enjoy.
And they are perfect for breakfast – or brunch – over the Thanksgiving weekend.
If you don’t have a recipe, try this one. I think it is the best
Garnish with celery and olives – and enjoy!
The Custom Mocktail: The Turnstyle Twist
This is the sweet to Mary’s spice.
It has some smooth and some fizz.
Some sugar and some tart.
I don’t have measurements because it can really be mixed to taste, but “picture this…”
Then add 1 TBLSP cream of coconut. Any brand will work, but I like to use CoCo Real.
You can find it on the shelf next to all the other mixers at the grocery store.
Finally, add ice, stir well, and garnish with an orange slice.
This is very festive for the holidays and a perfect beverage for dessert…
…for kids of ALL ages!
So, drink up and be Merry. Or Thankful. Or both.
BLOG NOTE: Through the holiday season, Turnstyle Vogue will be posting each day. Yep – 7 days a week of holiday DIY, tips, thoughts and some furniture thrown in here and there. Please be sure to stop by and say hi – or share your own!
