It is the first full week of November and it feels good to finally be heading towards Thanksgiving.
The kids.
The food.
The shopping chaos.
Clark Griswold and Cousin Eddie.
And the scents of the season…
The best. (Ever!)
Here is my simple, but oh-so-heavenly simmer scent that will quickly turn your house into the place everyone wants to be.
Apple Cider
Sliced Oranges
Cinnamon Sticks
Whole Cloves
Simmer together being sure to check the liquid level occasionally as it will evaporate over time.
I’ve been doing this for years.
Best ever.
Be inspired,

Turning lifetime passion into livelihood. It's about time! I'm Shari. I am a 40-something wife, mother, corporate professional turned design stylist, avid sports fan, and usually exhausted 24/7 keeping up with it all. I love my family, my home, my work...and the chaos that comes with it. I also happen to adore my beagle, Scout.

No pears were harmed in the making of this potpourri.

This sounds like a fantastic natural fragrance. I’m going to have to try this!
Going to the store tomorrow, I forgot all about this little trick. It will smell so good here now! Thanks for the reminder!
Sounds divine! Love the little turkey pear.

This is pretty close to my wassail recipe! Never thought about just simmering it on the stove for the scent – thanks for sharing, Shari
I’m definitely keeping this recipe! Sounds like my kind of holiday scent. Thanks so much!
I bet this really makes the whole house smell good!
