Hey everyone! It is good to be back after a few days off.
Today, I wanted to look back at 2012 and my DIY.
I did a lot of DIY. When I started this blog over a year ago, my intent was to show a lot of my furniture and talk about styling your home.
With a few DIY projects thrown in here and there.
But then, the emails started coming.
And the comments.
And the questions.
And I heard from many of you that my DIY was your favorite thing to read about here.
So….a few projects turned into many.
Just for you
I chose 15 of my most popular posts and here they are <insert drumroll here> in no particular order…
This last-minute project was one of the biggest surprises of the year –
-and I believe it was the most pinned as well.
I still get about three or four emails a week asking questions about it.
This was made for my sister. Thankfully, she likes it.
Or so she says…
DIY Wire Baskets – Tutorial Part One
DIY Wire Baskets – Finished Part Two
These were a chore but in the end, turned out great.
I had fun creating this knock-off for one of Debbie’s copycat challenges.
I made myself create it with what I had on hand – including the texture.
I loved this project.
I also included a step by step tutorial on how to drill holes in glass.
These were another spur of the moment project thanks to Pottery Barn.
They make great outdoor lights in the summer.
Fall is my favorite time of year and this was my first project for the season.
The options are endless.
It didn’t get any easier than this DIY!
The made a statement, but took up very little time.
I think the simplistic beauty of this is what made it so popular.
The Best Ever Holiday Simmer Scent
Just might be might favorite autumn recipe
While not my most popular – yet – this little apple wreath is at a record pace, having gotten almost 24,000 views in just over a month.
Bring Some Fun To Your Table With Thanksgiving Trivia
This was a hit with many of you. I had almost 200 email requests for my trivia list. I hope you had fun with it!
I have made a handful of different ornaments over the years, and these were my absolute favorite.
Our stash is almost gone. I had quite a few emails from those of you who made this and gave it away as gifts.
Thanks so much for trying it out!
How To Do A Snowflake Napkin Fold
This is one of my favorite folds because it is so versatile. It can be a flower, star, or whatever your imagination brings.
It is a great fold for year-round entertaining.
Well, that rounds ‘em up. I’ll do a wrap up of my furniture in the next day or two.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Be inspired,
