This is it! The last full week before Christmas. Time to kick it in full gear and finish the preparations.
Christmas starts on Saturday for us with a full day of fun with my side of the family.
The gifts still need to be wrapped, but the gifts tags are done.
Nothing new. No creative brilliance on my part.
But who doesn’t like clay tags?
For those of you who aren’t familiar with them, or have yet to make them…
DO IT. They are EASY.
You can purchase the clay from any craft store.
…along with stamps to punch the lettering into the clay.
Simply roll it out and use the cookie cutter of your choice.
Use a straw to cut out a hole at the top.
Then stamp your message. I decided to keep it clean and use names only.
Bake according to the directions on the package.
These were at 250° for 15 minutes.
Also, I purposely chose to use an “everyday” cookie cutter rather than a Christmas one so that the kids could use these tags year long if they want.
Paper. Shmaper…. GO CLAY!

Turning lifetime passion into livelihood. It's about time! I'm Shari. I am a 40-something wife, mother, corporate professional turned design stylist, avid sports fan, and usually exhausted 24/7 keeping up with it all. I love my family, my home, my work...and the chaos that comes with it. I also happen to adore my beagle, Scout.

What a fun idea! Love how they turned out!

Does that clay puff up like sugar cookie dough if you don’t roll it even? Because based on the way my cookies turned out, my tags would look like helllllll!

This is a very cute idea I will have to do next year.
