DIY: Simple No-Sew Gift Card Holders

Happy Happy Friday!

Are you done shopping?  Presents wrapped?

{Please don’t say yes.}

If you still have some wrapping to do, I have a quick and easy DIY for all of those gift cards you may be handing out.  So easy, in fact, that you can have your kids make them for you.

A DIY where you don’t do any of the work?  It can’t get any easier than that!

I used cardstock that I had in my stash, but you can use any paper, including paper bags.

To fit a standard gift card, you will need to cut two pieces, 3” x 4”.

Then, using a hole puncher, punch holes along three sides starting in the corner.

TIP:  For a fast and easy way to “measure” equal distance between holes, punch your holes in this order:

Four corners first

Then the middle of each of the three sides

Then one punch between the corner and the middle all the way around the three sides.

Voila! Evenly spaced holes (for the most part) without having to take the time to use a ruler.

To thread your ribbon through, attach a safety pin to the end to act as a needle.

If you go fast, you may end up with twisted ribbon.

If so, be sure to fix it!

See?  The card fits snug as a bug!  Now, you can leave them plain, or embellish them a little.

Here, I used a small wooden letter tile as a monogram.

On this one, I used a snowflake punch stamp in the middle.  Notice I used a different paper for the second piece so that a pattern would show through the snowflake.

Of course, a basic stamp works just as well.

Just keep it simple.  These aren’t supposed to look as though they are professionally made.

{Thank goodness for that!}

They should be fast, fun, and easy because reality is, they may just end up in the trash come Christmas morning cleanup!

When it comes to gifts, presentation and creativity is important – even for gift cards.

Right?!

Have a SUPER weekend!

Be inspired,
