Happy Happy Friday!
Do you normally decorate your kitchen for the season or is it a room that stays décor-free?
I don’t do a lot, but I do like to add a little since my kitchen and family room are part of a one great room.
This year, it is just a few touches here and there…
Living in Oregon, it is hard to even mention the word “faux” when talking about a Christmas tree, but given I have three living trees in the house, I think I can get away with a couple of these small little beauties.
What better place than the kitchen to hang my cinnamon ornaments?
Or this faux frosted fruit wreath?
– try saying that three times!
This beautiful snowman all dressed in fur arrived in the mail yesterday from some friends of ours.
He even has bloomers on under that fur!
Alyssa, Cassidy & Eryn painted these little terra cotta pots for me about 15 years ago.
I miss those years at Christmas time – when the magic is magnified.
Thank goodness Joey still does a pretty good job with it!
On my island is my vintage berry tray with a bowl of cinnamon sticks, my scented apple wreath, a bundle of cinnamon scented baby’s breath and berries, some salt & pepper shakers and one of my favorite Christmas cookbooks from Gooseberry Patch.
Along with my dishes…
…and glasses…
…ready for everyday use!
Another tree high on the shelf…
…and finally, our little beverage station. My hot chocolate mix is almost gone! I need to get to get it in gear and make some more!
Just a few touches of Christmas in the room that is used the most.
Totally necessary.
Be inspired,

Love the fat snowman and kitchen Christmas tree!!!!!!
I love the kitchen, the tree is adorable with the gingerbread and the beaded fruit wreath just perfect.

Anyone who has never smelled a fresh cut tree from the west coast doesn’t know what they are missing. Just not the same as other places.
