Furniture Debut: The Mercantile Bin

Hey there!

Last week I gave you a little preview of a small furniture project I did.

Today I’ll show you the whole thing!

Small.

Simple.

Fun.

Hip.

Old.

Useful.

The Mercantile Bin By Turnstyle Vogue You know me, I once again failed to get a before picture but the outside was painted a dark brown and the panel and black stenciled “faux logo”

I painted it with Anne Sloan’s French Linen and then did a wash with a combination of Old White and Old Ochre on the inside wood panel.

The inside was left natural and is perfect for shoes, balls, root vegetables, blankets…you name it!

I used a modern #2 in chrome, a wood #4 painted black…

… and a vintage metal #6 painted in rust. Winking smile

Pretty standard piece of equipment.

But pretty cool as well.
