The Locker Baskets.

Happy Friday!

Can you believe how fast time has gone by since Christmas morning?

I still have a few things to share  – including one of the gifts that John and the kids surprised me with.

Vintage Locker Baskets At Turnstyle Vogue

Aren’t these awesome?

Before making their way into the retail world, they were unearthed in an old barn located in a little Oregon town.

I’ve wanted some for a very long time but they had to be just the right size to fit in my mudroom cubbies.

I am not 100% sure that I’m going to keep them there.

I have another idea for them as well.

I’ll have to sleep on it for a night or two…

and play around with them for a week or two…

and maybe, just maybe, find another furniture piece that they would work well with.  LOL.

Just kidding.

Or am I????

#4693.    They are all four digit numbers – must have come from a large facility.

School?

Military base?

Any ideas?

Those baskets are AWESOME!!!! Yes keep them there!!! They look amazing in the nooks. They look to me like old swimming pool baskets. Thanks! ~Tammy

  2. Shari, we had these baskets at the swim club and in Jr. High gym class (changed by High School). Of course this was back in the late 60′s. Flashback!!!!!

  9. What an amazing score, and what a sweet family you have to find those and BUY them for you!!! When you find out where they came from, let us know. Now I am really curious!

  10. The baskets are wonderful! What a wonderful gift.

  11. Those are amazing!! I love the numbers on them as well! What an awesome gift!

  12. I am a sucker for old metal baskets. I found 2 baskets at TJMaxx that look like vintage locker baskets. They had a little sport on them where you could put a number. So, I used rub-on numbers to make them look authentic. Cheating, but cheap.

  13. I just bought some and love them. I’d love to hear your ideas to use them. Mine are rusty too and am trying to decide how to store things and keep the rust and still not get rust on the items.

  14. what a great find!

  15. The baskets are beautiful! They add so much charm and character to the space!
