Well, March has arrived and it is time.
Time to “do spring.”
So let’s “do mantels” to get started.
My vignette is pretty simple.
Lantern? Check.
Candles? Check.
Bird? Check.
Nest? Check.
Flowers? Check.
For my spring mantel last year, I made a sign to reflect the season with a little play on words - so I thought, why not make it a spring tradition?
No reason not to!
So… here is my official “Spring Mantel Sign 2013”…
Somebody was getting a little irritated with me. Once he saw me start taking pictures of the mantel, he hopped up on the hearth assuming he would be part of the photoshoot.
I had to indulge him and let him strike a pose.
Fire is going, candles are lit.
Just because I’m “doing spring” doesn’t mean I’m stupid.
It is March. In Oregon.
An occasional fire is still within the rules.
