Happy Happy Friday!
The week went by really fast for me. How about you?
Joey got his braces on yesterday and he is making dinner for us tonight.
Totally random. He just came to me and said he wanted to make dinner and knew what he wanted to make. He has a pretty interesting menu but I’m just going with the flow and letting him do his thing. He has shown zero interest prior to today to be in the kitchen so I’m not sure where his motivation came from!
Today I’m sharing another side table I did recently to compliment the to-die-for day bed at the store.
I wanted to create movement in the finish and did so by pulling the paint through on each layer as the first layer was almost dry.
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco, Country Gray and Graphite in addition to Ce Ce Caldwell’s Vermont Slate.
I then finished it with clear and dark waxes.
It is all about MOVEMENT.
Creating depth and texture with paint.
Give it a try - just play around, practice and be forgiving of the paint, and yourself!
It is just paint after all.
Well, I have a feeling it is going to be an interesting evening in the kitchen -
– and the whole family is coming over to witness and partake.
I will be sure to take some pictures of my potential new chef in action and share with you next week.
Have a great weekend!
