Happy Labor Day Monday!
What do you have planned for today?
We kicked off the holiday weekend with some high school football Friday night, and Duck football on Saturday.
The weather was spectacular. Not too hot. Not too cold.
Just a perfect 80 degrees with a breeze.

Yesterday, we headed over the mountain to my uncle’s house to spend time with family. Much needed leisure time for sure.
On our way,we stopped at the Dee Wright Observatory, aka the Lava House. It is just over an hour from where I live and while I’ve been there many times, it is always fun to stop, stretch your legs and take in the scenery on a beautiful day.
Some of you may not know that we live in the middle of the Cascade Mountain Range and many of the mountains within that range are volcanoes.
And what you see here is a massive lava flow. Miles and miles of it.
The observatory was built in 1935 and gives you a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains.
You can climb to the top, or go inside and view from the windows.
My uncle’s house is right on the Deschutes River in Central Oregon.
So the first thing Joey put in the car was his fishing pole.
At the end of the day, I snapped a fun picture of my mom and dad.
And then this one-
Three things to note: my height disadvantage, Joey’s hair (he sees the barber on Tuesday!) and John’s behavior.
A little more of the same.
Enjoy your day!
