Well, I am writing this post and trying to recover from The Good Wife episode I just watched at the same time – not an easy task.
Oh. My. Gosh. I’m not attached to a lot of shows, but this is one that I’m invested in so to speak. As are my girls. It is our Sunday night fix.
And we aren’t happy.
So… I’m going to try and focus and get through this post. (I knew I should have written it ahead of time, but we were out of town and I procrastinated.)
Anyway, as I mentioned, we were out of town for a few days and I wanted to share a couple of things I brought home with me.
I have a thing for vintage sports paraphernalia. Baseballs, gloves, footballs, you name it. I love it all so when I found these old leather golf club covers, I had to have them. To be fair, I really didn’t find them first – my niece tipped me off after she came a cross them a week or so ago.
If you like typography decor, these are perfect – in addition to being a basic, but popular, black and white scheme.
A few feet away from these sat a 1930’s complete BINGO game set.
And yes – that red handle is the original based on what our research tells us.
What is truly unbelievable is that it is a complete set!
The wooden balls with the engraved numbers/letters…
The leather bottle that hold the caller’s chips…
Are these not truly awesome?
It would be pretty cool to display the caller’s cage and wooden balls somewhere in the home.
Or forget “display” – just use the game!
So there you go – two great items that may bring back memories one way or another.
And two great items that can still be used for their original purpose or given new life with a new meaning.
Now I just need to find new meaning to my Sunday nights. (Is that a little too dramatic or am I on the right track? )
